THE DARK TEMPLAR

The dark templar is very similar to the dark templar you getin the starcraft campaign they have generally good armour and sheilds but there main points are there warp blades that do 40 damage and the fact that they are cloaked all the time.
DARK ARCHON = 0
two dark templar can form a dark archon just the same way as a two templar make an archon in SC.

the dark archon is made from two dark templar unlike its brethren Archons these creatures have no physical attack, they are purely psionic entities with three very powerful spells. there has been much disscussion about fairness surrounding this unit because of its most powerful spell, mind controll......make your own opinions.
FEEDBACK = 75
This spell will be effective against other units who have mana or energy, the spell draines all energy from that unit and then does damage to the ammount of energy lost for example a zerg queen with 200 energy will lose all 200 and take 200 points of damage, which in this case would kill the unit.
MAELSTROM = 100
this spell is like the Terran ghosts lockdown spell, i renders a unit or small group of units unable to do anything but they can still be attacked but this only works on organic units i.e. it wont work on reavers.
MIND CONTROL = 200 + all sheilding
When the dark archon casts this spell at a unit that unit becomes part of the protoss army.you get to keep the unit perminatley and can control it how you want to, this can even be done to SCV's and Drones which will enable you to build other races buildings this all comes at a price the dark archon loses all of its energy points an any sheilding it has leaving it very vunerable indeed. this spell is obviously powerful and has a range similar to the goliath machine gun range. any questions regarding this check out the BroodWar FAQ at BLIZZARD
